Good on him. What an inspiration.

Just met a Washington man on a 600 foot climb near Humbug State Park. He's been permanently disabled for many years and worked for himself. Decided to buy a bike and trailer and head to the ghost towns in Arizona. He's 57 and modified his mountain bike with a pvc pipe to hold his cane near his handlebars. Sometimes he goes 48 miles, he said, and sometimes he goes 30. He says he's still trying to find himself and that the cycling has improved his cardiovascular fitness, bad knees and aching back.
